Pop Warner Basics

Schedule & Conference

WPPW plays an eight game regular season, with playoffs to follow if the team qualifies.

What is the time commitment to play Pop Warner?

In the month of August WPPW will practice each week night from 5:30PM to 7:30PM. The games will start the first Saturday in September. Once the games start, WPPW will practice on Monday, Wednesday & Friday nights from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. This equates to 6 hours of practice a week and a game on Saturday. Compare this to any other organized sport.

Is participation in Pop Warner Safe?

YES! Pop Warner has a long history of providing a safe environment for all of our members. Athletes compete with athletes of similar age and size. Pop Warner is the ONLY youth football program (local, regional and national) that sets & enforces a strict MATRIX that reduces the risk and reality of injuries. Did you know that Pop Warner football is safer than soccer? Pop Warner football has 12% fewer injuries per capita among 5-15 year olds than organized soccer in the same age range!

What are the Age & Weight Divisions?

For football players, you will play in an age-weight division with similar players of your age and weight range. Pop Warner is open to players/cheerleaders ages 5-14, with your age being determined by your age on 7/31 of that year. Cheerleading squads are also broken down into similar age groups. See Weight Matrix.

Registration Fees

The registration fee for the 2017 season is $225.00 for Football, and $300.00 for Cheer. At this time, Scholarships are not available.
